CHINA-EU MEETING

EUROPEAN Commission trade officials have told their opposite numbers at a Beijing meeting that they will closely monitor any surge in Chinese exports following the ATC quota abolition in January. Brussels has threatened to use reserve safeguard powers to restrict imports in this case. This second meeting of the EU-China Textiles Trade Dialogue also covered trade statistics, market access, production, investment conditions and possible cooperation regarding the sector.
