CHINA CITES COMPLIANCE WITH WTO RAW MATERIALS RULING

China told members of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) today that it has fully complied with a WTO dispute ruling striking down Chinese export restrictions on various non-ferrous metal and inputs while officials from the United States (US), the European Union (EU) and Mexico said they were not completely satisfied with Beijing’s efforts.The WTO had earlier ruled that export quotas and export duties applied to eight raw materials – including bauxite, fluorspar, silicon carbide, silicon metal and zinc – violated the terms of China’s 2001 membership ...
