BY MONICA DOBIEDEPARTING senior executives from Chapters Inc. collected hefty sums as part of their "golden handshakes" when Indigo Books & Music took over the company in the spring, according to the company's report for its annual meeting with shareholders.It said that Larry Stephenson, former chairman and CEO of Chapters, received a total of more than CAN $1.2 million, including CAN$855,750 in termination pay, over CAN$105,000 as a bonus and another CAN$287,500 as a salary payment.However the fattest ex-Chapters cat was Glen Murphy, who joined the company ...
