CANCER HOT DOGS

A STUDY has established a possible link between hot dogs and colon cancer. University of Nebraska, USA, food researcher Dr Sidney Mirvish found increased levels of nitrosamines, a suspected carcinogen, in the faeces of mice fed a diet of hot dogs. Much lower levels were present when the mice ate fresh meat.
