CANADA’S BATHURST AIRPORT TO EXPAND WITH PUBLIC CASH
November 1st, 2016BATHURST Regional Airport, in the Canadian Atlantic province of New Brunswick, is to be expanded through a Canadian dollar CAD6.28 million (USD4.63 million) project. The federal Canadian and provincial New Brunswick governments will both support the plan, spending CAD2.09 million (USD1.53 million) each.
The project will double the size of the airport terminal building and extend the runway to nearly 1,800 metres, enabling it to receive larger aircraft and process passengers more efficiently.
