CANADIAN beef cattle are being exported across the US border for the first time since the Alberta BSE scare in May 2003. Cattle and bison less than 30 months old and goats and sheep less than 12 months can now cross the border for immediate slaughter and fattening. The first shipment went from Ontario to New York state.
