BY KEITH NUTHALL CANADA'S CanWest Petroleum is to absorb its subsidiary Oilsands Quest Inc to create one enlarged company working in the Alberta and Saskatchewan oil sands regions. Oilsands owns exploration permits covering 508,000 acres in north-west Saskatchewan. CanWest already owns 59.5% of Oilsands. The move will enable CanWest to exploit deposits recently discovered in Saskatchewan - until now oil sands have largely been discovered in neighbouring Alberta.
