CANADA-EU VET DEAL

THE EUROPEAN Commission and Canada have approved new simplified import and export rules for pork products and bovine semen, the first time they have agreed to mutually recognise each other's food production standards. Simplified import certificates will be used for these products. Both sides are now working on similar deals covering dairy products, fisheries and live bivalve molluscs, such as mussels and clams.
