CAMBODIA TO REMAIN MAJOR MARKET FOR IMPORTING TEXTILES, WTO REPORT PREDICTS

CAMBODIA will continue to be a growing market for the purchase of textile inputs, a new World Trade Organisation (WTO) trade policy review has predicted, with the value of its clothing and apparel output expected to reach Cambodian Riels KHR23.9 trillion (USD5.94 billion) in 2018. This is approximately 82% of country’s manufacturing industry output, said the WTO, which noted that this output had risen from KHR20.8 trillion (USD5.16 billion at current exchange rates) in 2013.
