THE EUROPEAN Union's anti-tobacco health Commissioner David Byrne has continued to accuse the industry of breathtaking cynicism. Talking to a Tobacco, Youth Prevention and Communication Conference, in Rome, he said: "Despite claims to the contrary from the Tobacco Industry, our youth is their target to ensnare the new victims they need to replace those that die from smoking related diseases."
