BRUSSELS UNVEILS DETAILS OF SOUTH KOREA-EU TRADE DEAL

THE EUROPEAN Commission has unveiled details of how the new South Korean-European Union (EU) trade agreement will benefit textile and clothing manufacturers in Europe and South Korea. Upon ratification of the agreement, duties on EU imports of most clothing products will disappear. They are currently mostly between 5.3% and 12%, with a significant majority of lines attracting 12% tariffs. Also, duties on South Korean shoe imports will vanish.
