THE EUROPEAN Union (EU) energy sector has been put on notice by the European Commission - put serious money into fuel cell and hydrogen research, or a marquee EU-funded research project may close.
Brussels has asked EU ministers to change the rules for the EU's Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking, established to link EU institutions, industry and academic researchers in developing groundbreaking hydrogen and fuel cell technology.
