BRITAIN BSE BEEF EXPORT TALKS BEGIN

BY KEITH NUTHALLTALKS will be held between the European Commission and European Union (EU) member states over ending nine-year-old restrictions on selling British beef products to the rest of the EU. This follows Brussels' food and veterinary office concluding Britain had met two key conditions for opening negotiations, namely measures to control and eradicate BSE and related TSEs were in place and were effective.
