BY MARK ROWEKNITWEAR giant Benetton is to employ 'smart tag' tracking technology with microchip transmitters that allow the company to trace garments at its stores from their point of manufacture to the moment they are sold.Benetton's Sisley line of clothing will contain a radio frequency ID tag that enables the retailer to learn the status of its inventory at a glance and make restocking decisions quickly.
