BANGLADESH ACCORD RENEWS MANDATE AFTER BANGLADESH HIGH COURT LIFTS RESTRAINING ORDER

The Accord on Fire and Building Safety in Bangladesh has been given a three-year extension to its mandate by the Bangladesh government – from June 1 - after a court order preventing this was lifted. The Bangladesh High Court removed a restraining order on March 31, just one day before the Accord’s authorisation to work in Bangladesh would have expired.
