ANTIBIOTIC TESTS DEVELOPED BY EU RESEARCHERS

A EUROPEAN Union (EU) funded research project has developed tests for growth promoters banned in the EU, such as avoparcin, spiramycin, tylosin, virginiamycin and zinc bacitracin. The 'Feedstuffs-RADIUS' project has created a procedure for simultaneously screening and detecting the five banned growth promoters in animal feeds.
