AMAZON ANNOUNCES OPENING OF NEW DISTRIBUTION CENTRE IN NORTHERN ITALY

Amazon Italia Logistica Srl has announced the opening of a new distribution centre at Castel San Giovanni, just over 20 km from the northern city of Piacenza, where the company says it will create 1,000 new jobs over the next three years. The 60,000 square-metre warehouse will begin operations in the third quarter of 2013, replacing an existing 30,000 square-metre Amazon distribution centre nearby.
