KEITH NUTHALLTHE WORLD Bank has approved a US$5.6 million credit to fund a Pilot Fishery Development Project, to boost the development of fish farming in Albania, one of Europe's poorest countries. The scheme also aims at improving the country's wild fishery sector.The project focuses on supporting the development of income-earning aquaculture activities by re-establishing low-cost fish farms in Albania's existing fresh water reservoirs, and by exploring the country's potential in the exportof high-value farmed marine species, such as shrimp.Said Toru Konishi, ...
