THE KUWAIT National Petroleum Company is pushing ahead with multi-billion dollar energy projects, recently green lighting a US$14 billion budget for the 615,000 bpd Al Zour refinery, the world's largest purpose built facility of its kind.
The completion of the new plant and Kuwaiti Dinar - KD245 million (US$892 million) upgrades to two other refineries, Abdullah Mina and Al-Ahmadi - increasing their joint capacity by 70,000 bpd to 800,000 bpd - will raise Kuwait's total crude distillation capacity to 1.415 million bpd from the ...
