ACCUSED FORMER TESCO EXECUTIVES TO FACE NEW TRIAL OVER FRAUD CHARGES

THE UK’s Serious Fraud Office (SFO) said March 2 that it was seeking a retrial of three defendants over a 2014 accounting fraud scandal involving the UK’s largest retailer Tesco. The SFO had charged the three former bosses – finance director Carl Rogberg, UK Managing Director Christopher Bush and UK commercial director John Scouler – with fraud by abuse of position and false accounting in September 2016 over a GBP250 million (USD345 million) black hole in the retailer’s finances.
