BY KEITH NUTHALLKEY revisions to the European Union's (EU) accounting directives have been proposed by the European Commission, to boost confidence in financial reporting by companies. The proposals would enshrine in EU law the collective responsibility of limited company board members for any published financial and other key information about their businesses.
