Air carriers suspected of being UK-owned will need to prove to the European Commission that at least 51% of controlling shares are held by owners based in remaining European Union (EU) member states if they want to enjoy free access to EU airports and airspace after March 29, if Britain crashes out of the bloc on that day with no deal.
