YEMEN WORLD BANK FISH CONSERVATION PLAN

THE WORLD Bank today is giving US$25 million to Yemen to help it improve fisheries resource management and conservation off its 2,230 km coastline, where fish exports generated US$210 million in 2004. The money will improve fish landing, auction facilities and ice plants, helping Yemen's fisheries ministry stage more effective research, resource management and landing regulation.
