CODEX TABLES NEW STANDARDS FOR INFANT FOODS AND FISH PRODUCTS

WORLD food standards body Codex Alimentarius is consulting on three new standards for specialist foods and two on manufactured fish products. Its committee on nutrition and foods for special dietary uses wants by March 31 next year opinions on a draft revised standard on infant formula for special medical purposes; a draft revised standard for gluten-free foods; and on a new advisory list of approved nutrient compounds for special dietary foods designed for infants and young children.
