IN the age of superbugs such as MRSA and C-difficile, hand washing is an essential part of every nurse's working life. But careful, even painful, scrubbing and soaping takes many minutes out a day which could be spent caring for patients. And hands suffer - they lose essential oils, can become dry and chapped.
So what if a machine was invented to clean hands of all bacteria, fungus and viruses by simply placing them in a room temperature box for a few seconds? Well, it looks like it might just happen.
