OPEC BOSS WARNS OF TRAINED PERSONNEL SHORTAGES

THE SECRETARY general of OPEC, Abdalla S. El-Badri, has warned a London conference the oil and gas industry is facing increasing trained personnel shortages. He told a Chatham House meeting about the "lack of qualified human resources," adding: "Global enrolment in geology and petroleum engineering courses has been dropping for years and many qualified workers are retiring..."
