BRUSSELS PLANS PROPOSED EU LAW ON NUCLEAR SAFETY

EUROPEAN Commission officials are drafting a European Union (EU) law that would regulate the treatment of radioactive waste in all 27 member states - and the text will be released for discussion by the end of the year. The Commission president José Manuel Barroso, has conformed the move at a conference on access to civil nuclear energy at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris.
