It told the continent's standards bodies, the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CEN) and the European Electrotechnical Standardization Committee (CENELEC), and the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) to develop a common charging system for electric cars, as well as scooters and bicycles.
