Companies in Japan that export paint and coatings and related chemicals ingredients to Russia and Belarus may face a trade ban if those items have been classed as 'advanced goods' under a May 20 amendment to Japan’s Export Trade Control Order. The move is designed, in cooperation with the international community, to sanction Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, with Belarus’ help, causing a war that has killed 4,253 civilians as of June 6, said the UN.
