THE FOOD Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has issued new regulations controlling advertising and label claims for food products that restrict the use of words and phrases such as ‘natural’, ‘fresh’, ‘original’, ‘traditional’, ‘authentic’, ‘genuine’ and ‘real’.
