CHINA AUTO SECTOR TO BE HIT BE NEW TRUMP USA TARIFFS

CHINA’S automotive manufacturing sectors will be counting the cost of new tariffs announced today (Friday, June 15) by the USA Trade Representative (USTR). They involve USD50 billion’s worth of Chinese exports being hit by 25% duties, additional to any other duties already applied. They will cover China-made exports of a wide range of automobiles and parts. The White House has said these tariffs will come into effect soon – although no date has yet been announced.
