BY KEITH NUTHALLTHE EUROPEAN Commission has cleared a planned Spanish publishing joint venture between Germany's Bertelsmann and Arnoldo Mondadori Editore SpA, of Italy, combining all the book publishing divisions and imprints in Spain and Latin America of Random House and Mondadori.The 50/50 joint venture will use Mondadori's existing Spanish subsidiary, Grijalbo Mondadori S.A., renaming it Grupo Editorial Random House Mondadori Holding S.L., and incorporating Bertelsmann's Spanish language book publishing and distribution businesses.Among the authors who will ...
