EIB TO FUND COPENHAGEN EXPANSION

COPENHAGEN Airport’s innovative plan to expand its annual passenger capacity from 24 million to 40 million without building a new terminal will be supported by a European Investment Bank (EIB) loan of EUR168 million. The low interest loan will help the airport fund the construction of the first part of a new Pier E; adding stands for long-haul wide-body aircraft; expanding the airside areas of Terminals 2 and 3; and carrying out other smaller airside and landside upgrades.
