EU EYES MIGRANT TERMINAL AT KABUL AIRPORT

THE EUROPEAN Union (EU) is considering funding and building a new terminal at Afghanistan’s Hamid Karzai International Airport, Kabul, to process asylum seekers and refugees whose applications to remain in Europe have been rejected. This plan is contained in an October paper drafted by the EU and the Afghan government called ‘Joint Way Forward on migration issues between Afghanistan and the EU’.
