There is tenacious debate surrounding whether data stored in third party cloud-based IT services is more or less secure than data that is stored locally on specific devices. But as cloud services usage has exploded in recent years, concern remains over whether they are prepared for the risks of a hacking breach, given the increasing sophistication of cybercriminals.
