METAL USERS CALL FOR CLARITY OVER PRODUCER COSTS IN THE EU CIRCULAR ECONOMY PACKAGE

The European Commission’s revised circular economy package (CEP) proposals – which includes an action plan and new legislative proposals on waste – risks making producers pay for everything, not just collection and sorting of packaging, representatives of key metal processors have claimed. They were speaking at yesterday’s (May 24) debate on “a growth-oriented and competitive circular economy” hosted by packaging industry organisation EUROPEN in Brussels.
