EUROPEAN COMMISSION PONDERS VAT REFORM

THE EUROPEAN Commission has released a comprehensive VAT reform action plan that will involve comprehensive legal proposals being released by December, maybe proposing that intra-European Union (EU) exporters start paying VAT on goods and services sold to other member states. This would be charged at the applicable rate of the importing country, and the money would be handed over to the exporting country’s customs and tax agencies.
