ITC PLOTS PACKAGED GOODS PRODUCTION EXPANSION IN WEST BENGAL

Indian food and tobacco major ITC has announced it is establishing two new production units in its home state of West Bengal to make branded noodles, snacks, chips, biscuits and wheat flour. “This would facilitate more efficient and faster access to markets as well as ensure fresher food products,” an ITC spokesperson told just-food. One will be built in Panchla (West Bengal) by January 2017 on 74,300 square metres of land.
