DUBROVNIK CRUISES

THE NUMBER cruise companies that can include the historic Croatian city of Dubrovnik on their itineraries will rise because of a redevelopment of its port, funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). It is planning to lend Euro 26.5 million to enable the Port of Dubrovnik Authority to extend the port's berth area, "creating additional space for increased number and larger sizes of cruise vessels" said an EBRD note. The money would also help reclaim land for building new port services.
