BY KEITH NUTHALLTHE EUROPEAN Parliament has called for the withdrawal of recognition of all seafaring training certificates from any non-European Union country which has been shown unable to prevent the issuing of fraudulent qualifications on its territory. The tough penalty has been written into a proposed EU legislation on the minimum level of seafarer training.
