EU MINISTERS APPROVE NUCLEAR EMERGENCIES BUDGET

BY KEITH NUTHALLTHE EUROPEAN Union (EU) Council of Ministers has approved a Euro 189.8 million budget for coordinating the response of EU member states to nuclear and other disasters in Europe from 2007-2013. The decision comes as ministers assess proposed changes to the current system, which calls on expert resources and equipment from member states for deployment in other EU countries.
