EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT PROPOSES MECHANICAL CAR SPEED CAPS

BY KEITH NUTHALLA EUROPEAN Parliament report has called for cars capable of travelling more than 101 mph (162 kilometres per hour) to be banned from European Union (EU) roads after 2012. MEPs will vote on the proposals from British Liberal Democrat MEP Chris Davies in September and in October, which have been tacked onto European Commission proposals to cap the amount of CO2 emitted by cars.
