ANTI-BIOTIC MCDONALDS

FAST-FOOD giant, McDonald's, will prohibit direct suppliers from using 24 growth promoters that are closely related to antibiotics used in human medicine. The use of antibiotics in animal feed has been making many of them less effective to humans, say scientists. The worldwide policy will take effect by the end of 2004.
