BY PHILIP FINE THE AMERICAN cotton industry has found ways turn its cotton gin waste into new products, helped by its federal government. The sector produces a lot of waste through its cotton gins and has to absorb the high cost of removing them. Initial testing in the US has showed cotton gin waste could be successfully recycled. The US Agriculture Research Service and Illinois-based Summit Seed have tested a dry formulation, which can be used as bedding-mulch in landscaping.
