BY KEITH NUTHALL TARGETED energy research projects of all kinds will command budgets of Euro 2.2 billion from 2007-13 under a draft rewritten European Union (EU) seventh framework programme (FP7). Other targeted research budgets under the Euro 54.5 billion scheme proposed by the European Commission include Euro 1.8 billion on environmental studies and Euro 9 million on IT, the largest budget for focused research work.
