BELARUS AND CHINA CLOTHING EXPORTERS TO BENEFIT FROM NEW EU EXPANSION

BRITISH clothing retailers may well buy more cheap clothes from China and Belarus once Romania and Bulgaria join the European Union (EU) on January 1. They have long-standing trade relations with China and Belarus, whose EU clothing exports are limited (temporarily for Beijing). Upon joining the EU, Sofia and Bucharest's import quotas should be transferred to the whole EU, a boon for Chinese and Belarus exporters of shirts, trousers, jackets and other clothing lines, said the European Commission.
