THE EUROPEAN Commission has rationalised and codified into one umbrella regulation six existing European Union (EU) laws governing operational agreements between companies within the air industry. These include deals on clots, scheduling, tariff consultation, reservation systems and others, and their relation to EU competition law. The current Commission has a long-standing programme of simplifying EU laws, by incorporating amendments into a single text, making legislation easier to use and understand.
