AIRLINE INDUSTRY BUFFETED BY HIGH OIL PRICES STOPS GROWING

AIRPORTS Council International (ACI) Europe has released figures showing how the aviation industry has been hit by fuel price rises and their resulting inflation of ticket prices. Overall passenger traffic at European airports increased by only 1.5% in April 2008 compared with April 2007. There has been an increase of 14.8% between April 2006 and 2007.
