THE EUROPEAN Commission has cleared the proposed acquisition of British food and drink refrigeration equipment company Enodis by rival Manitowoc of the USA - with conditions. Brussels said Manitowoc must sell Enodis' European ice-making machines business before the deal can be sealed.
