PEANUT X-RAYS GRADE KEY INGREDIENT SWIFTLY

CONFECTIONERY manufacturers can grade peanuts more effectively by using new X-ray technology developed by the US government's Agricultural Research Service (ARS). Its National Peanut Research Laboratory, in Georgia, found that using ARS X-ray technology to grade peanuts delivered a 98%-99% accuracy rate and was faster than standard grading methods: seven versus 20 minutes per sample.
